Model G Construction
The intent of Model G is to experiment with potential materials for the rooftop garden seen in Model C.
Scored 2.5mm balsa wood (half complete above) was used to realistically represent thin timber decking.
Artificial model making grass was used to simulate a true grass, or astroturf surface (above)
Sliced cardboard was used to represent thicker, darker and more substantial timber flooring (above)
The final sample tiles, including an abstracted white tile model constructed of card, and a stone/concrete model created with crumpled craft paper (above)
The completed model with all sample tiles fixed to a backboard for side by side viewing and experimentation with light (above)
